1. Hillsboro Police Department Main Station is located at 250 SE 10th. Ave. Hillsboro, Oregon 97123. The Main Station is located at the corner of 10th and Baseline; off the MAX Light rail line.
2.The Hillsboro Police Department Records Division is open from 7:00 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. daily. Parties involved in a traffic crash may receive the front page of a traffic crash police report free of charge. There is a $10.00 charge for a copy of a police report.* Please allow a minimum of 24 hours to process your report request. Reports that are pending investigation or reports in which an arrest has been made are not available for release until the investigation is complete and/or a disposition is received from the District Attorney's office. *There is an additional charge for reports over 15 pages.
3. No. Due to the potential for damage to vehicles, the police department does not open locked vehicles. If a child is locked inside the vehicle, the police and/or fire department will respond to remove the child from the vehicle.
4. Cases involving criminal acts which appear to have some basis of solvability are referred to the Investigation Division for further investigation. To inquire about your case, call the Hillsboro Police Department Investigation Division at 503.681.6185. If you know the detective assigned to your case, you may call him or her directly.
5. Traffic citations are processed
through the City of Hillsboro Municipal Court which is currently located
in the Civic Center at 150 E Main Street, Hillsboro, OR. 97123. Additional
questions regarding traffic citations or the Municipal Court process may
be answered by calling Municipal Court at 503.681.6157. You may also call
503.681.6180 to hear recorded information concerning Municipal Court issues.
6. Call the police department; ask to speak to a Patrol Supervisor or the Uniform Division Commander. Request that this area be placed on selective enforcement and close patrol.

9. 811.720 When accident must be reported: You must report your accident if it happened on a highway or premise open to the public, and resulted in any of the following: 1) More than $1500 in damage to your vehicle; 2) More than $1500 in damage to any one person’s property; 3) A vehicle towed from the scene as a result of the damage; 4) Injury to any person (no matter how minor the injury); or, 5) the death of any person:
(a) The reporting requirements for drivers under ORS 811.725.
(b) The reporting requirements for occupants of vehicles in
accidents under ORS 811.735.
(c) The reporting requirements for owners of vehicles under
ORS 811.730.
10. You will need a vehicle release
from the police department. To get this release, the owner of the vehicle
must be present and show proof of ownership. Proper proof of ownership is
a DMV registration, title, or notarized bill of sale. The owner will also
need to show proof of insurance on the impounded vehicle and have a valid
driver's license or have someone with him/her that has a valid driver's license.
The owner must also pay a $75.00 fee in the form of cash, cashier's check
or money order. Exact change is required.

on a civil stand-by unless you have a writ of assistance. To obtain a writ
