Kid Fit Room

The Shute Park Aquatic & Recreation Center provides on-site child care for children ages four months to eight years. Our Kid Fit Room enables parents to enjoy their physical activities while being assured their child is having fun in a safe and nurturing environment.

While a child is in the Kid Fit Room, they will enjoy numerous activities, including games, puzzles, toys, crafts, and other age-appropriate activities. Special themed activities will be planned throughout the year.

General Information

• The Kid Fit Room is open to children ages 4 months through 8 years old.
• As this is a non-licensed child care facility, parents/guardians must remain on the premises.
• As this is a non-licensed child care facility, the maximum time limit for child care is two hours per day. Exceeding this time limit will result in additional charges to your account.
• Kid Fit Room will allow a maximum of 10 children in the room at one time.

Policies & Rules

• Only parents checking in or checking out a child are permitted in the Kid Fit Room.
• Children should be fed, dry, and properly dressed including shoes upon arrival at the Kid Fit Room.
• Kid Fit Room reserves the right to refuse entry of sick children.
• No food is allowed in the Kid Fit Room with the exception of pre-made bottles and sippy cups with water.
• The Kid Fit Rooms staff are unable to change diapers, give scheduled naps, potty train, or give medication.
• Keep all personal items in a cubby. Make sure all items are clearly labeled.
• The Shute Park Aquatic & Recreation Center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

Reservations & Fees

• Reservations are recommended to ensure a spot in the Kid Fit Room. Walk-ins will be allowed, space permitting.
• Reservations may be made either by phone or walk-in up to 48 hours in advance at 503-681-6127.
• Cancellations may be made up until your reserved time.
• No-shows will result in a no-show fee of $5 assessed to your account.
