The City of Hillsboro's Economic Development Department (EDD) facilitates economic opportunites in Hillsboro by providing the expertise and knowledge necessary to create a successful and business-friendly environment. We are committed to the growth, expansion, and sustainability of businesses, preserving jobs and the standard of living for Hillsboro’s citizens. While providing assistance to all, EDD concentrates their efforts in two main areas:

EDD provides support for existing and new businesses by promoting awareness of economic development programs, services and incentives offered by the City. Services include targeted marketing and business recruitment, real estate site searches, assistance with the permit and building process, business advocacy for policy and implementation tools, regulatory assistance, and other support needed to help businesses thrive.
