This slideshow is the 2009-2010 presentation given by the YAC
to the
City Council, to inform the Council and the community of the YAC's activities for the past year.

On January 4, 2005, the Hillsboro City Council adopted a resolution establishing the Youth Advisory Council (YAC). Students from the Hillsboro area high schools may apply each year to become a part of this energetic leadership organization that provides youth with a voice in their community. The YAC’s mission is to serve and improve the Hillsboro community through positive activities, strengthening relationships, appreciating diversity, and forming more supportive relationships between youth and adults.
- Increase membership to include at least one student from each high school
- Plan and execute fall event
- Birdhouse entry for Tweet of Dweams
- Plan and execute PSAs with KUIK and TVCTV; record in both English and Spanish
- Continue working with Hillsboro 2020 Vision Implementation Committee
- Global Youth Services Day
- Tweet of Dweams: Jackson Bottom Wetlands benefit auction
- 7th Annual Hillsboro Youth Art Exhibit
