On February 17, 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), more commonly referred to as the federal stimulus bill. Oregon will be receiving approximately $2.4 billion of ARRA funds over the next three years.
ARRA is intended to provide funding for projects that will boost our economy and create jobs. The City of Hillsboro has received funding through ARRA. In some cases, funds were provided through a non-competitive formula allocation, others awarded through competitive grants. The City also partnered with the state when applying for grant funds.
Following is a summary of ARRA funds applied for by the City of Hillsboro and their status. |
